Welcome
First Community Church seeks to be an authentic Gospel Community of disciples, whose ultimate desire is for The Lord to do a transforming work in our hearts, and in the hearts of our community through the power of the GOSPEL and His amazing grace. We are common folks who struggle, who have brokenness, who need more of Jesus and less of us. Our supreme desire is to know Jesus and to be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, but a movement. We are affiliated with The Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) that is global movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s mission locally, as well as globally. We’re committed to studying the Word of God verse by verse, and faithfully living out what we learn in our daily lives. We are committed to the great commission that Jesus Christ gave to every believer: to go, to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and teaching what Jesus commands us.

How long does the service last?
Our goal at First Community Church is to begin service around 10:30am by ringing the church bell. It is then we are generally finished around 11:45am. Our heart is that everyone sticks around for fellowship after the service. However, feel free to stay as long as you like.
What about kids?
We have a Children's program that is tailored to meet the needs of all. Our heart is that the kids would stay in the sanctuary and worship with us. Then when the message from Pastor John starts, they can go downstairs to be with one of our amazing child care workers. The kids will learn about Jesus and have a sweet time of fellowship! They will be chaperoned back upstairs when the service is over. However, kids are always welcome to stay in the service with their parents. One last thing, there is a cry room inside the sanctuary for mothers with babies:)
What is the service like?
Our goal is to worship in such a way that the Lord is pleased, the hearts of the hurting and broken healed, revitalized, and refreshed. We are a family-oriented blended rural church. This enables us to start service with prayer requests and praise reports from those that are worshipping with us. Afterwards, our worship team will lead us to sing praises unto our God through a blend of contemporary songs and old hymns. It is then that the Word of God will be taught verse by verse. We go through the Bible one book at a time, expositionally.
How do people dress?
Please come however you feel comfortable. We are a casual group of folks who do not place great emphasis on the clothes we wear. Some dress casual, others dress not so casual. Please come as you are!!!
